This week, the DALI dimming field saw a notable technology upgrade. According to industry media, LTECH released a new DALI NFC driver series featuring its self-developed T-PWM dimming technology, achieving 100,000-level (0.001%) ultra-deep dimming. The drivers support NFC programming, allowing installers to configure parameters in batches via a mobile app without powering the units. Covering DT8 single-address color temperature and DT6 dual-address color temperature modes, one driver model fits multiple luminaire specifications, streamlining SKUs and inventory for projects.
The significance of ultra-deep dimming goes beyond "darker." When LED downlights and spotlights remain stable and flicker-free at 0.001% brightness, hotel rooms, premium retail and exhibition spaces can create light environments that gradually shift like natural light late at night, while meeting flicker standards such as IEEE 1789. Dimming depth is becoming a key criterion in commercial lighting product selection.
As a manufacturer of LED downlights and spotlights, KINXZO keeps a close watch on dimming control technology. Our anti-glare adjustable spotlights and recessed downlights can work with DALI drivers, helping project clients achieve smooth dimming from minimal to full output and deliver refined "see the light, not the source" effects reliably on site. As the DALI ecosystem matures, dimming precision and flicker-free performance will become a new battleground in commercial lighting, opening broader room for cooperation between luminaire makers and control system providers.
